As Vice President of The Premier Resources Group, I am honored to pen the inaugural blog post. The Premier Resources Group (also known as “PRG”) has grown substantially since its inception due, in large part, to organic growth in market demand for staffing and advisory services within the construction and engineering industry. In short, we recognized the demand and decided that we wanted to supply premier resources to fill those needs. Nearly half a decade later, as an award-winning staffing and advisory services company, we continue to provide high-quality staffing resources and advisory services to organizations and projects across the globe – we’re excited to share our story with you!
Being a construction attorney prior to leading the PRG Team, my experience within the construction industry was focused primarily on litigation and risk-mitigation. However, after an in-depth conversation with Greg Sizemore, president of PRG’s parent company, Sizemore & Company LLC, it became clear that an industry-focused staffing company could really add value. So, we decided to take a calculated risk and formally began providing staffing services to the industrial and commercial construction markets.
However, we did not want to be “just another staffing firm.” It was important that our brand be synonymous with high-quality, professionalism, and integrity and, we’re happy to report that our risk paid off! In the first few years, the company grew with only a handful of clients, including three Fortune 500 company clients. That growth earned us a spot on the Inc. 5000 list of fastest-growing private companies in the country two years in a row. Today, we’re proud to say that we offer contract staffing, contract-to-hire staffing, and direct-hire recruiting to dozens of clients, large and small, across the U.S.
Additionally, our strong industry contacts unearthed another unique opportunity to support our clients. As we developed our staffing services, a number of senior, retired, and mid-career professionals reached out to us to inquire about possible support opportunities. The caliber, credentials, and experience of these resources truly set them apart from other candidates. So, inspired by the 1992 U.S. Olympic Dream Team, we decided to “recruit and sign” high-end, management and executive-level resources and put them on the same team – thus, our PRG Advisory Services Team was born.
Its philosophy is simple: real-world experience is invaluable when it comes to project support and corporate growth initiatives. Now, with over a dozen advisors from multiple disciplines and various industry sub-sectors, the PRG Advisory Services Team supports a wide array of clients, from large multi-national owner companies to growing regional contractors and subcontractors.
However, we weren’t finished. Once our staffing and advisory services teams were well-established, we started to see a trend with clients utilizing both services and found that the two services complimented each other quite well! In fact, the more we researched, the more we realized that a holistic, bundled service option actually provides the highest-value for clients. As such, “The Bundled Advantage,” and developing an action plan that combines both services, serves as one of our major market differentiators which sets us apart from the competition.
So, where to from here? With a mindset laser-focused on client service and continuous improvement, we are highly optimistic that our footprint and reputation in the industry will continue to increase. Moving forward with an integrated services business model, we believe that we can be a one-stop-solution for clients staffing and advisory services needs and intend to let our results speak for themselves.
